General
I think a druid type class could work into Guild Wars quite well. It's pretty much taking the "Minion Master" idea, but it puts it to a whole new extreme. Druids take manipulation and creation of minions to a whole new level. However they would not be "Minion Bombers"
Explanation
There role in the game could vary in many ways seeing how the player wants to use the druid. The main thing you would see is tanking. I think druids would make the best tank in the game. However druid tanks would still require much skill, to use properlly. Druids have to count on minions and their own power to survive in the feild of battle.
Class Role
Tank
Armor Level
Druids would use a armor with 65 AL
Energy Level
High. 30 with 4 regeneration.
Range Type
Melee. They would use "claws". ( Like what assassins use on Diablo LOD ). It attaches around their wrist and it's about a foot long blade, over there hand and they stab/slash with it.
Attributes
Minions: This is the process of minion creation. Number of minions you can control and their level.
Manipulation: Manipulation of minions to your advantage.
Transformation (Primary) Transform into certian animals, and increases the power of transformation moves.
Claw Use: Makes your use of your weapon more lethal. Claws hit 2% more damage for each level in claw use. Ie: Claw use = 16. 32% more damage.
NoteWhen you transform you don't get new skills. You keep your old bar and skills that are use once transformed can now be used.
Skills
Minions
Summon Fog: (Cost: 5. Time: 2 Recharge: 5) Creates clouds of fog 1...10. ( Damage 1...10 ) When fog attacks people they are blind for 3...15 seconds. Health 10...120. No degeneration dies once loses all health
Summon Wasps: (Cost: 10 Time: 2 Rechare: 10) Creates a swarm of wasps. 1...15. ( Damage 2...20 ) When enemy is attacked by swarm of wasps they will flee for 5...20 seconds. Health: 20-300. Degeneration 2...5. (10...60 seconds if not attacked).
Summon Bear Elite Skill: (Cost: 15 Time: 4 Recharge: 20) Summon 1...6 Bears. (Damage 20-60) Bears have 50...400 health. ( 3 degeneration ).
Manipulation:
Life Steal: (Cost: 0 Time: Instant Recharge: 30) Steal 30...200 health from selected minion.
"Steal My Minions (Elite Skill): (Cost: 15 Time: Instant Recharge:30) Shout: Minions steal 3...30 health per hit. Steal 1...3 gold per hit. Lasts 3...30 seconds.
"Don't Die Now!" (Cost: 20 Time: Instant Recharge: 90) Shout: Minions gain 20...250% defense boost. Stops minion degeneration. Lasts 5...30 seconds.
Enchanted: (Cost 10 Time: 7 Recharge: 30): Moves all minions enchantments to you. And resets them 100%...200% of their length.
Transformation ( Only doing one transformation to make an example. )
Heart Of The Lion: (Cost: Free Time: Instant: Recharge 60) Transform into lion. 10...200% more defense. 10...100% more damage per hit. (10...50%) More health. Lion Skills can now be used, regular druid skills cannot be used until transformed back into a druid by reselecting " Heart Of The Lion ". Energy is no longer used. Rage or adrienallin ( spelling? ) are now use. ( Quick note: each transformation would have 2 to 5 skills set to it ).
Leader Of The Pact: (Cost: 2 Rage Time: Instant Recharge: 30) Teleport to the nearest enemies. Attack 5...50% faster and run 1...33% faster for 5...25 seconds.
Thorn In Paw (Elite ( Cost: None. Time: 10 Recharge: 120 ). Make all opposing foes minions. for 10...90 seconds. Once spells is removed or taken away minions become enemies and hostile agian. Whilst beeing minions they suffer from health degeneration like normal minions. ( degeneration depends on amount of health ).
Claw Use
I don't have any specific spells for claw use. It would be like swordsmanship for Warriors though.
Yeah. I expected a fair level of flame for this idea but I like it.

Sounds fun, but yeah your gonna get tons of flame saying
"Lol you got tht idea from WoW and it suxorz if you wanna play druid play WoW lozer! GW is srs"
Personally I think its fun sounding though.

I've never played WoW. I don't even know what's in it. Once I buy my game i'm not paying agian. I took the idea from Diablo. But I tried to make it appeal different then it does off Diablo.

Just a note: the "claws" are called Katars, they are a weapon used by Muslim Assassins, I believe created when they invaded India.
And if I did not read your second post, I would have said "sounds like a druid from D2 gone GW style"
I wouldn't mind this being a Norn-only profession for GW2 (and Golemancer being an Asura-only profession for GW2).
I really wouldn't.
I don't like the Class Role you put in. Tanking should be left out of GW imo.

Most if not all those ideas predate wow by a long way.
Starting with the early d&d style druid which was a variation of the Cleric.
So they had healing skills but also some elemental ones I remember was call lightning storm was one of them..
Animal companion, taking on an animal form "I think this did a certain amount of healing to the Druid"
At one point they became immune to poisons prob because they where plant based.
Controlling animals and plants was also there as they had an empathy with the wild.
I like these new build ideas even if none are ever used its a fun exercise and who knows where anet will look for future skill ideas.
Maybe there should be a priestly Norn class that uses multiple shape changes.
